COVID-19 Serving Ideas
- write and mail a card through loving letters for grand friends project. Send cheer to a senior citizen who can no longer receive visitors due to the COVID-19 situation. Or sign someone up that could use a boost that is a senior. https://kidsforpeaceglobal.org/lovingletters/
- start a gratitude share at dinner
- call or FaceTime with grandparents, grand friends to say hello
- write positive messages on post-it notes and place in your house
- make prayer rock – paint or use marker to write kind words on a rock and place around town for neighbors to find
- place a note and gift of kindness for delivery drivers, mail persons – roll of toilet paper, gift card, candy bars (see photo)
- create a take what you need, bring what you can free pantry (see screenshot)
- fold clothes
- wash dirty dishes
- take out trash
- unplug electronics not in use
- leave a potted plant on a neighbors stoop
- pick up trash on daily walk
- walk your neighbors dog
- write thank you note to someone and put in the mail (or give to them if a family member)
- color a page for senior center
- sidewalk chalk art for others to see and lift spirits of
- ask family member how their day went and don’t do most the talking, let them share and dig to find out more about their day – high and low and dig deep
- mow your neighbors lawn
- write a list of things you like about a family member and give it to them
- apologize to someone for a conflict you have had today
- compliment a family member on an attribute of theirs, not a physical trait or item of clothing.
