The Health Ministry Committee at Redeemer was established to focus on how best to supply health information and advocacy for the members of Redeemer through a variety of activities. The committee provides education through articles in the newsletter and the Redeemer webpage, as well as providing educational pamphlets on health topics Sunday mornings in the narthex.
Health Classes: Classes on health issues are occasionally taught during adult Sunday School, including classes on palliative care and end-of-life issues. Also, foot clinics, nurse led pedicures, are offered throughout the year.
Blood Pressure: Blood pressure monitoring is offered monthly between services.
Flu Shots: Flu shots are offered early in the winter at the church at a reasonable rate for all adult members.
Card Ministry: This ministry recycle’s used cards donated by members. They meet once a month to mail out the donated cards to members and those on the prayer chain.
CPR/AED (cardio pulmonary resuscitation): offered annually to members and more often if there is a need.
Anyone with an interest in helping to improve the health and well-being of our community at Redeemer is invited and encouraged to participate on the health committee. The Health Committee at Redeemer meets monthly on a Sunday morning between church services.
