Welcome to Redeemer!

Redeemer Lutheran Church is a congregation of believers and explorers in the city of Bettendorf, Iowa, one of the celebrated Quad Cities on the banks of the Mississippi River. In our life together we strive to live as good news people seeking reconciliation in our individual and collective lives.

Redeemer is a community built on grace, worshiping a God of self-giving love, acceptance, inclusion, and compassion.

Redeemer desires to follow the way of Jesus, which means approaching the big questions in life with humility. Nobody has all the answers, and yet followers strive to search and listen for God’s voice and promises in the scriptures, prayer, worship, and our daily lives.

At Redeemer the Bible is valued for the unique story of God’s commitment to all God’s creation and people. While the scriptures are not a science textbook or self-help manual, they do present unique perspectives about God’s activity in the world and our lives. They make a joyful claim on the lives of people and call them to respond for the renewal of God’s world.
